I like that each days reading has a passage from the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs and only takes about 15-20 minutes to read. The print is good sized and easy to read and each daily passage is dated starting with January 1. It would be nice if they made an edition that simply has Day 1, Day 2, etc. Overall this is a very nice daily reading Bible for anyone. Especially if you've never read it or you've tried to read the Bible before and didn't know where to start or got overwhelmed. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2016 )
• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Denise -- Get ready to not want to put it down : I absolutely fell in love with the layout of this Bible when I received it. So much so that I picked it up and couldn't put it down. The NLT is a fantastic version and this book is well written. Be sure to read the introduction for many fascinating facts about your new Bible. While I know it's easy to skip right past the introduction, you won't want to do so in this case. You're sure to be elated with the knowledge that you gain as you will walk with confidence knowing what you know. I do suggest the Companion that goes along with this book. While I consider it a little pricey, ultimately, it's worth the investment as you grow with - and through - the information it contains. If you've ever felt lost in the dark with certain passages of Scripture, the Companion may just enlighten you. I felt that this Bible was adequately priced since it is not a hard cover. I use gel highlighters in this Bible all the time and write with ink continually. I have had no problems with bleed through. I also use washi tape periodically throughout the Book and have had no issues when I have had to pull it up. The pages in this Bible are on quality paper and are not as thin as some of the other Bibles you will find. I love the print size also. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from honeychile -- A useful way to read through the Bible : This is a very useful way to read the Bible through in a year. As I write this review, it is September and I began in January. The readings are broken into an Old Testament portion, a New Testament portion, a section in Psalms and another from Proverbs. I did not think that I would enjoy reading the Bible this way, but it was what our Pastor recommended for the year and I decided to accept that challenge. It's very useful to have the readings all ready for each day without having to flip through four times looking for the daily passages. I purchased the version for my Kindle which makes it especially easy and portable when I travel. The translation is the New Living Translation and I have enjoyed the freshness of the Word in this format. I found it entirely in keeping with other translations and it is readable and easy to understand. Five stars! ( Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2017 )

Just a short time each day getting into Gods word has enriched my life incredibly. When I begin each day with the One Year Bible, I know my day may still have its ups and downs, but I have the Word of the Master to see me through! • 3.0 out of 5 stars from Crow-Conspirator -- Hunt for That Date! : There are indeed 365 “Chapters.” Wouldn’t it make more sense to have 365 “Dates” instead? The whole purpose of this Bible is to listen to readings every day of the year. If you’re so disciplined that you never fail, every day, then it works beautifully. You finish today’s readings, stop, and the next day’s readings are all cued up and ready to go. I managed to do that—for awhile, then life happened and I’d miss days. You might find yourself calculating what “Chapter” is the number out of 365 days of the year for May 16th. ( Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2020 )
• 5.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- A Wonderful Way to Read the Bible : I believe it is very beneficial to read God's Word daily. However in actual practice that is very hard to do. Thanks to this Bible, which has been formatted to include daily selections from the Psalms, Proverbs, the Old and the New Testament, I was able to enjoy reading the entire Bible through in a year. Each day's reading averages about 15 minutes. By year end you will have read the entire Bible once and the Book of Psalms twice. Moving through the Bible in this fashion keeps it fresh and interesting. For example reading in Genesis and then reading in Matthew on the same day ties the two accounts together in important ways. I am now reading through the Bible for the fourth time using this reading plan. I also purchased The One Year Bible NLT which I thoroughly enjoyed. Other translations are also available in this format. I have both a hard copy and a digital copy of The One Year Bible. I tend to gravitate to the digital version for ease of use. Highly recommended for those who love reading God's Word and for those who wish to better understand it's message. ( Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2018 )
• 3.0 out of 5 stars from Lady Caroline -- Read Through the Entire Bible in One Year : Difficult to keep cover open when reading (it's a paperback version) and I wish there were more explanations about getting through the Old Testament when there are just rows of names and "begats". I always wondered about that and expected this version might help me not be bored when reading those parts. The New Testament doesn't do that, of course. It's a pretty good way to read through the entire Bible, which I have done, but, again, I hoped for more commentary or explanations. ( Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2018 )

Yet, after many failed attempts at completing various bible in a year style plans, I decided to bite the bullet. I have not regretted it, as it is so easy to use. I'm well into February and still on track! I'm also doing the NT in a year with my husband and two boys, as it takes only 3 or 4 minutes to read over breakfast. Each daily reading is dated with a section from the Old Testament, ie, Genesis, Psalms and Proverbs and then a section from the New Testament, ie, starting with the book of Matthew. I bought this Bible as it's organised in such a way that you read some Old Testament, New Testament and a Psalm and a few proverbs each day, if you read it every day you will have read the whole Bible in a year and as a result if you apply the truth of the Bible to your life you will be blessed!
